stock quote for Compass Inc symbol comp is incorrect.

Question

The downloaded quote for compass inc symbol comp incorrect.  the downloaded quote was 16651.51 for July 31 which is the closing price for the Dow Jones average.  This has been happening for several weeks.  I've been manually correcting it.  I'm using the Windows Quicken PremierVersion R68.31

I added Compass Inc (COMP) to a test file and the price downloads correctly as 11.39.

The NASDAQ Composite index is COMPX in Quicken but that is $25,373.85.

[adding] The Dow Jones Composite Average index is at $16,651. This is different from the more common Dow Jones Industrial Average. It is a combination of the Dow Jones Industrial, Transportation, and Utilities averages. At one point Quicken's default symbol for this was COMP, which is probably what causes this issue. If you want to track the Composite Average in Quicken, you should change its symbol to INDEX:DJA, otherwise un-check its Download Quotes box.

If you view the price history for COMP by going to the Security Detail view and clicking on More then Edit price history, does it have High and Low prices for the problem dates, or are they 0? Zeros would indicate that the incorrect prices are coming from your broker and not Quicken's quote provider.

The Dow Jones Industrial Index closed on 7/31 at over 52,000.  What number are you referring to?
