I'm getting an error OL-292-B when trying to download transactions from US Bank. This issue first started yesterday.
Hello @svowels,
Thanks for reaching out!
OL-292 errors generally indicate that Quicken isn’t receiving the expected response from the financial institution during the update process. As a first step, I recommend reviewing this OL-292 support article, which outlines the standard guidance for this error.
In short, the recommended steps are:
If the error continues after that, the article explains that the next step would be to contact the financial institution directly and ask to speak with an online services specialist, as Quicken doesn’t have access to their servers to resolve OL-292 errors on our end.
Thank you!
same issue with US Bank direct connect. Been going on for a month.
Hello All,
Thank you for reporting this issue!
We have been seeing recent Direct Connect errors with US Bank, and we currently have an Open Alert for a couple of those errors. While this specific error (OL-292-B) is not listed in the alert, I suspect that it is related to the same issue.
At this time, we have not seen many users reporting this specific error. However, I will pass this information along internally, so our teams are aware that this issue could be changing/growing.
@Quicken Anja has posted the steps we use for resolving this issue above. If the steps don't work, we recommend you reach out to the bank for further assistance/insight into what could be causing you to receive this error.
As for the alert linked in blue text above, to be notified of updates or changes, you can open it up and then bookmark it. Any new information will be posted there.
Hope this helps!
I'm also using Direct Connect with US Bank … and not encountering any problems.
Including an "Update Now", from within one of those accounts.
I'm using US Bank PFC Direct Connect with Quicken for Windows and I've also haven't been able to connect since the beginning of August. I think I started with error OL-293-A and now stuck in a loop with OL-220-A. I contacted US Bank right away and they said they had no known issues and told me contact Quicken. Quicken said to connect the bank since it is direct connect. I talked to US Bank again and they had me try some more things but there was no resolutions. They could see errors on the logs but with no specifics. I have bookmarks for the related Quicken posts and the digest to hear about any news of a solution. At one point they thought it had something to do with the login so they reset my PIN but that didn't do anything. They created a case for me. I haven't been using Quicken since the beginning of the month but I'm at the point that I need to do something as I depend on Quicken to budget for my upcoming automatic payments. I tested changing to the Express Web Connect on a test file I had created but it wanted to download a bunch of transactions from the past. I don't want it to do that as it would duplicate a bunch of things and I'm afraid would create a mess as I have multiple US Bank accounts. Please advise what I can do a workaround for now until this issues is resolved without creating a mess of my US Bank accounts in Quicken. Also - is there a way to rename my current Quicken file to a different name and then restore a back up to my current Quicken file name? When this issue started, I disconnected the Online service for my checking and then reactivated (each step took 30 minutes) and then all of a sudden my checking account balance increased by around $10K! Thanks
I have been running US Bank PFM direct connect, using it daily including today with no issues.
Based on a prior issue I had with US Bank, if the help person you're talking with is not resolving the issue, then the next step is to escalate - tell him/her you want to talk with their supervisor. The front-line help people don't always have deep knowledge, I think some of them only have an FAQ list. Did you by any chance change your USB password about when this issue started? (Not necessarily the same day). What you propose about copying and renaming your working file and restoring a backup is absolutely a reasonable step - nothing tricky about it. You didn't mention any problem with Quicken downloads from other institutions, so I infer those are working fine.
