Selecting Help —> About Quicken in

Quicken Classic Business & Personal Ver R68.32 Build 27.1.68.32 Canada Edition

brings up the About Quicken window, BUT it also puts the app in a state that I have to END TASK in Task Manager. Quicken "beeps" when I try to click on the "X" to close the About Quicken window, leaving END TASK as the only way out.

And, now that I'm trying to use the "Report A Problem" feature, to report the above described bug, I've found another bug in this release. If you open the Report a Problem window, the first thing you need to do is to "Select a Category", but if you try to use the pick list it will flash the pick list and the (sort of) close it (with weird artifacts) such that you can't pick a category, rendering it impossible to use the Report A Problem feature. It will hold the pick list open until you move the mouse, but it closes the pick list as soon as you move the mouse before you can pick anything. And, since you can't select a cateory and you can't report a problem without selecting a category you simply can't report a problem. Sigh….

@Quicken Kristina @Quicken Kathryn @Quicken Anja I'll need your help reporting these issues because the Report a Problem function is now broken and unusable in the current version of Quicken Canada!

Thank you for letting us know you're encountering these issues. I tested in my own file but could not replicate them.

Have you already confirmed if this issue happens with an alternate Quicken file? Have you tried reinstalling the update patch, just in case the problem is caused by the patch not installing properly?

@Quicken Kristina Yes, I have tested this issue in a brand new test file and get the same result. I have not tried reinstalling the patch, but I didn't get any installation errors and I suspect that, if the issue does not affect everyone, the differentiator may be my graphics configuration. I'm running Quicken on a 32" - 4K monitor driven by a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. Running at 4K x 120 Hz x 32 bit requires some tweaking for compatibility because Quicken doesn't play nicely with 4K resolution. Incidently, there are two programs on my PC that don't play nicely with a 4K display configuration and Quicken is one of those two apps (the other app that isn't 4K friendly is a legacy scanner driver that I plan to keep using until my high res photo scanner dies). Even with the compatibility settings configured, there are a few things in Quicken that don't display properly on my 4K display. However, the other issues are minor annoyances like graphic artifacts; these two issues are the first two usability issues I've encountered. I'd appreciate it you raise a ticket - noting the 4K configuration. It is reasonable to expect 4K configurations will become a lot more common going forward.

Do you have 4K display that you can test this on? If so, I'll try to also give you my compatibility settings to mirror the configuation as best as possible.

If you can duplicate what I am experiencing, once you have the About Quick window/dialogue up, as soon as you move the mouse anywhere on that window/dialogue the entire window except for the "X" disapppears and the "X" is non-functional. It is definitely some type of graphics handling issue.

Why are you using that version? I'm on 27.2.77.15 Granted it's the Beta version. I'm not having any issues with the About Quicken window
