Quicken Platform: WindowsEdition: Starter EditionVersion: (Help → About Quicken — add your exact release number here)
Issue Start Date: Immediately after the most recent Quicken update.
Error Messages: None — the button simply does nothing.
Description of the Issue:
After the latest update, the “Clear all split lines for this transaction” button stopped working the way it always has. Before the update, it cleared split lines while entering a new transaction. After the update, it only works after the transaction is saved, which makes no workflow sense.
I spoke with a Quicken tech who told me this behavior was intentional with the update. If that’s true, it’s counter‑intuitive because the button has always been used to quickly clear split lines during entry, not after saving. If it wasn’t intentional, then the update introduced a regression that needs to be fixed.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Start a new transaction.
- Add split lines.
- Click “Clear all split lines for this transaction.”
- Nothing happens until the transaction is saved.
Additional Notes:
- This behavior began immediately after the update.
- Reinstalling Quicken did not change the behavior.
- No filters are active.
- The red X button still appears, but does not respond during entry.
I’m looking for clarification on whether this change was intentional, or a bug introduced in the update.
