Some people are the funniest, some are the smartest in the room, and others are somewhere in the middle.

I would rather be the funniest in the room. I enjoy making people laugh and smile.

I think I'm somewhere in the middle. I like to go with the flow and match the vibe of the people around me. If everyone's having a good, thoughtful conversation, I enjoy being part of it. And if the mood is more playful, with jokes and laughter, I'm happy to join in, laugh along, and throw in a joke or two. It really just depends on the people and the vibe!

Why not both? But,"funny" is somewhat dependent upon intelligence, which is why one of Mensa's advertising lines is "We get your jokes"

Being smart is great, but having a good sense of humor makes life more enjoyable. I think being able to make people laugh while still learning something new is the best combination.

I think I'm somewhere in the middle. Being smart is helpful, and I like to learn new things. However, in social situations, humor tends to be better received.

I am not sure. People who know me well tell me I am a cross between Monk and Sheldon. Smart but very quirky and neurotic. I can make people laugh but not intentionally. When I try to tell a joke to make people laugh, they just look at me with blank looks.

"Better" will be interpreted differently by everyone. To me, it means most of the audience remembers my message the next day. Funny gets their attention for a few minutes and implies you want to entertain the audience. Smart to me implies you are delivering a message that you hope will be remembered by many in your audience.
