After the investment has matured, it still shows on the investment portfolio as a 0 value.  How can I remove it from the list because I need the room for other investments?

Are there more than one investments in the account where this closed investment is held?

If there are, you'll need to keep the account open.

If that is the only investment and the account is zero, you can hide the account in Quicken Mac.

Accounts > Hide and Show accounts > Select the account you'd like to exclude from Lists and Reports.

If this is an account that you download transactions to, I would take the account offline prior to marking the account to hide.

I this is a Security in an Investment account and the Security still show up in the Portfolio View then there is probably a small fraction of a share left in your account. You can add a Sell transaction and choose Specify Lots to see what the fraction is and just Sell that fraction with a Total Sale of zero.

    Pretty much correct.

I wouldn't use a SELL transaction type...I would use a Shares Out transaction type...as this requires NO cash in or out of the account.

I agree the Shares Out would be simpler but nighter should work.
