How do I open my account so that I can write a check? This version is crazy.

I have used a version of Quicken for over 25 years and just signed up for this new version.  I have signed in but I can't even find my account so that I can write a check.
I need help

@maggie02, let's start with some background info.
What Q product are you running?  What country?  What Build of Q (do HELP, About Quicken for this info).
What product and product year were you running previously?  Because the method to open an account register, and write a check for Q to print, hasn't changed in MANY years.
SO, why can't you find the account?  Have you tried TOOLS, Account List to find it there?
When you installed the new version, did it import your previously used Q data file?

There are many way's to open an account.  I suspect you may have inadvertently hidden tabs by selecting the arrow head icon between the search text box and the minimize icon in the window title bar.  I suggest you click on it so that arrow points up.
