Both the _SyncLog.dat and OFXLOG.dat files that reside in the same file location and begin with the name of your data file can be deleted using Windows Explorer. Quicken will re-create them the next time it is opened.  There are no means to repair these files so when they quit working, the only option is to delete them.

I have to periodically delete the SyncLog file for a similar issue.  It's not blank, but it quits displaying new log information. The last line in the log is days old.

"markus1957 " That did it! Not only after deleting all OFXlog and SyncLog files it remade them AND Onestep update started working. A great big THANK YOU.
My one step update problem was not quite the same as the one that hangs up but like this one

HOW are you opening that file?  Because it's not directly readable.
The only way to view it's contents is to do HELP, Log Files, OFX Log ... and then save it to your desktop and open with NotePad or WordPad (NOT MS Word).

Can't save it as it is blank. Opened a new file Friday as to try a fix for One step update not updating . Go to help- click on log files-click on OFX log and a screen opens up with the file and the option to save as is there. On the original file it opens a screen that is blank with the close button but the save as button grayed out. Just created a new file to check and Open help--click on log files--click on OFX log it opens. Can save that to desktop. No OFX log on the original file though

A correction the "save as" button is not grayed out, it just not do anything.
And thank you "NotACPA" for reading and responding.

And the only thing that you can do is wait until Q Development figures it out and releases a fix.
    Sorry.
