I am trying to sell shares from my investment account with the sale proceeds going to my savings account. Both the investment account and savings account are in the same currency.
However I keep getting the following message:-
" Please select a security whose currency matches the currency of your account."
Please tell me what I am doing wrong

Since I've never used multicurrency so I'm a bit at sea here and I don't really know what's wrong.Looking at the amounts in the Account Bar, (vertical column to the left or right of the screen), are all amounts proceeded by the US dollar sign ($)? At first blush it does seem that Quicken believes the Investment or Savings Account is using a different currency.If everything looks good in the Account Bar, you might try making a backup and then turning off the multicurrency option to see if that helps.You might also try completely deleting all transactions associated with the sale and transfer and re-entering those transactions.If none of the above works then I'd suggestFile > File Operations > Copy...and then using the copied file to doFile > File Operations > Validate and repair... clicking both Validate and Rebuild investing lotsand trying again.If you've done sales and/or transfers between this Investment Account and your other Accounts in the past it sounds like this particular transaction is somehow damaged.5

Under Edit > Preferences > Calendar and currency is Multicurrency support enabled?

I have checked again and yes Multicurrency is supported.
I am a new user of this version of Quicken after many years with Quicken 2012
As a new user I may not have set things up properly.
All my bank accounts seem to be ok but recording sale and purchase transactions in the investment accounts is just not working. With Quicken 2012 this was never a problem.
As in the past I prefer to enter all transactions in both bank and investment accounts manually
