I want to run Quicken v. 2007 on my parallels partition (Mac). the installer CD not recognized.

If you have a CD installer of QM2007, it is likely the pre-Lion (before Mac OS X 10.7) version v16.0.x. This version only runs on PPC's and not Intel based Macs. You will have to look to alternative sources if you want the Intel version of QM2007, aka QM2007 for Lion, which is v16.1.x or higher.

Yes I kinda knew that, I just can't find the Intel version anywhere.0

I was finally able to solve this myself. I started the old MacBook in Target Disk Mode. Then using several adaptors I was able to get a cable from the older Mac firewire port to the USB-C port on the new 16 inch MacBook Pro. The hard disk icon from the older machine showed up on the parallel v.15 desktop. I was then able to copy the app and transfer data.1
