With more institutions going to 3 level signons (ie: DISCOVERY BANK that wants to text me a security code to use @ sign in) which Quicken seems to have a problem with, should I be looking at replacing it after using it over 20 years

Personally I don’t see anything out there that would fair better.
The problem lies with the whole financial industry that will not provide a better way of doing.
Direct Connect/OFX is one such method, but they won’t all adopt it.
So for the financial institutions that won’t provide that you are stuck with kludges like Express We Connect where the model is that it is interacting with non standardized websites as if the Intuit servers are the user. Instead of machine to machine.
There are plenty of examples of how this can be done securely without resorting to ask the user for security codes.
So we (both users and companies like Quicken Inc) struggle along as best we can.Signature:

"Connected Loan" function only uses Express Web Connect, your can't change it.
And personally I don't think it is worth using. When you use it you no longer have a register and can't make changes.
I also really dislike the way they implemented it, but I understand their motivation.
When most people asked for downloading loan transactions they thought that Quicken would continue to use the loan wizard and the download would be for the net amount. But at the same time they had another problem. The loan wizard didn't support all the bizarre loan schedules that these companies come up with. So they decided to implement it by getting all the information from the financial institution. So it took on the "just believe what the financial institution says, and to protect the user don't let them change it from what was sent".

For some reason my version of Quicken R28.28 does not provide advanced options to allow selecting a connection type for Loan Accounts, apparently only Checking and Credit Card accounts allow selections (I use both WEB and DIRECT depending on the institution).0
