Dividend Reinvestment entries

I manually enter my investment transactions as RBC DI doesn't allow for downloads.

Every entry for a dividend reinvest seems to need 2 entries and manual math calculations or am I missing something?

Example - I get a $30 dividend on a stock that costs $20. I receive 1 share and $10 deposited into my account. The only way I can figure out to enter this is to make one entry (Div) for the $10 and then make another entry (ReinvDiv) for the share that was added.

It seems that that financial institution (investments) is only supported in the US version.

I suppose another way is to enter a Div for $30 and then a Buy of one share for $20, which gets you to the same place, But one way or the other I think you need to make two entries.

I tried to create a TFSA account and associate it with RBC - Dominion Securities. No matter what I did or typed, Quicken could not find the Brokerage. I contacted Quicken and they had no issue from their end to see the brokerage but when I typed it in the field :'( :'( , there was nothing. They performed a "Screen Share" and reinstalled the software. BTW, I had the most current version of the software. Ultimately, they said it was a RBC issue and I should call tech support at Dominion Securities. Not surprising, they said it was a Quicken problem. Stuck in limbo.

@Crazy_Canuck are you running Q US or Q Canada.? The US product can't find CDN accounts.

Quicken ask me the same question even though, I gave them my subscription details to get access to the support. Yes, I'm using the Canadian edition.

I only see 4 entries for RBC (none RBC - Dominion Securities) in the Canadian list and none of them are for investment accounts:

Thanks for your hard work. Fascinating that the largest Canadian bank is listed in the US version but not in the Canadian. Much appreciated.
