Upgrade Home and Business 2011 to 2021 Deluxe? (Q Win Canada)

I'm using Quicken 2011 Home and Business Canada. I use it only for tracking investments. I have never used the business part of the program.

Would I be able to buy Quicken Deluxe current version and import my 2011 data file?

The answer should be yes.  There is in fact no difference between the data format of the Starter/Deluxe/Home and Business editions.  What changes is only what features are enabled.  In fact, a person using the business features can even downgrade and what happens is they loose the business features and the business account types change to types that are in the lower edition, but otherwise loose nothing else, including the ability to upgrade in the future.

When looking at your question the only thing that popped into my mind as questionable is Quicken Subscription able to convert your Quicken 2011 data file to the new format.  I believe the answer is yes, but with really old versions of Quicken Canadian there is a different conversion path than with the US version.

Thank you for visiting the Community to ask your question although, I apologize that you have not received a response.

The Deluxe version offers the ability to Track loan, investments, and retirement accounts all in one place However, other investment features are only available in the Home and Bussiness version.
