Transactions Going Into Wrong Account

Seen multiple other posts on this issue here. I have done all that has been mentioned multiple times. Coastal Credit Union is the bank. 6 of the 11 accounts stay mixed up. 5 always are fine. After setting up again (remove online, reactivate it), File Validate says there is an issue in the 6 accounts and repairs them. Still does not fix the download mix ups. I do not want to go to an old data file....lots of work. Started after most recent Quicken update. Any other potential thoughts to fix out there? Thanks!

What type of accounts are the six problem accounts? LOC or HELOC or LOAN?
Is any of these accounts marked closed at the bank?
After you deactivate all six of these accounts, go through the Tools / Add Account process and stop at the screen giving you a list of all accounts found at the bank.
Can you please capture an image of this window showing the issue, sensitive information blacked out as necessary to protect your privacy but annotated to describe the situation, and attach the image(s) here?

Please save images to files of file type PNG, JPG, or GIF only. They're easier to work with than PDF files.

I'd like to see this screen so I can try to advise you on how to proceed.

Checking and savings accounts. None of them marked closed at the bank. The Add Account screen doesn't show the problem. The accounts are corrected listed and then I link to the corresponding account in Quicken. The next transaction download puts transactions in the wrong accounts. If I create a brand new account, it seems to work correctly. But I do not want to do that for so many accounts and then lose all the old transaction data.

Strike that. Created a new account, although without disconnecting all of them. Still did it incorrectly. Is there any way to bulk copy transactions from one account to another? Am thinking about disconnecting all accounts from that bank, deleting all bank info. Then create all new ones and copy the transactions over from the now old accounts.

Are you really sure that you didn't accidentally cross-link bank account A with Quicken register B?
    > Is there any way to bulk copy transactions from one account to another?
Yes, as long as the transactions aren't marked reconciled you can block - select transactions in one account register similar to block selecting files in Windows File Explorer. When done selecting transactions, move the mouse pointer to one of the now highlighted transactions, right-click and select "Move transactions", specify the destination account.
Whatever you do, please be sure to have or create a backup of your data file before you start making changes affecting a large number of transactions. You want to have a fallback position in case something goes wrong and the hole you're in only gets deeper.
Do you Sync to the Web? If so, turn off Sync before you start. Keep Sync off until you're done.
When done making changes, backup once more. Start Sync to create a complete new Sync file, replacing the old Sync file

I have done many things on this. Including creating new accounts in the same file and moving the transactions as well as creating brand new accounts in a brand new file without linking to an old account. Same issue. Same 6 accounts get mixed up in exactly the same way every time. 5 accounts are correct. Interesting that it happened with a brand new file. Any ideas? I have contacted Coastal Federal Credit Union as well.

@Wolfpack416, did you ever find a solution to this? I am having the same issue (along with others). I had my Coastal accounts set up for well over a year and they just started populating the wrong accounts this last month. I updated to the most recent quicken (on Mac) and it still seems to be an issue.

Jarrod...was never fixed. Worked with Quicken support as well as the Coastal expert on the topic. I honestly think Quicken changed something since it worked fine for many years and Coastal didn't change anything. To improve, I used different logins for the different accounts....yet, I still have the issue within one account as the transactions for my CD account go into one of my savings accounts. If you ever figure something out, please let me know!

Hey Wolfpack, I tried working with Quicken on this with no luck. Sent a message to Coastal, but I suspect that won't lead to anything. One of Quicken's Customer specialists said I should report the problem in quicken if I think it is a Quicken issue (help -> Report a problem). This is the message I am going to leave, if you want to leave something similar (better support response with numbers?):

I have talked to multiple Quicken customer care specialists about this who have not been able to help me. When downloading transactions using Quicken Connect, the transactions are going into the wrong accounts. I have reset my account connections with my bank and I have tested the accounts on a new Quicken file; both instances the transactions still go to the wrong accounts. I have seen this reported on community boards (link below) and that person gave up. Also, I can download the transaction information manually from my bank; those files seem to show that my bank is associating the right bank accounts and transactions. Both myself and the person from the community board noticed this issue during the last round of Quicken updates. I would like to be able to rule out that there was an issue with the recent set of quicken updates. Could someone please look into this.

Just to add to the voices, I have had this issue for several months as well. I have been downloading from Coastal to Quicken successfully for YEARS until around March or April. My credit card account downloads OK, but all my savings and checking accounts going to the wrong place. Several times when I try to reconfigure the downloads, the accounts are mis-identified as loans as opposed to savings/checking before I even accept them for download and I have to just give up. When they are identified as the proper type, sometimes transactions from two different accounts are downloaded to one account... it is different every time, and quite baffling and frustrating.
