R34.16 failed to install

Tried to install the Mondo patch for R34.16. Installed failed with message:
Access to path C;\programfiles (x86)\quicken\qupdated.bmp is denied. I even ran it as administrator. See picture

I installed the patch on a different PC that is not having any issues and got the error i described above.
R34.16 is now officially released.  You might want to download the officially released Mondo Patch file (Subscription Release of Quicken) and install that.

Which version?  Quicken Windows is currently at R33.24...not yet up to R34.16.  Is that a typo?  I suggest downloading the current R33.24 version Mondo patch (https://www.quicken.com/support/update-and-patch-20182019-release-quicken-windows-subscription-product) and installing that.

Ah, I hadn't seen today's announcement of R34.16.  But I did notice that the announcement also says "This release is currently paused and unavailable for download in Quicken" so I think that is why you are not able to install it.

FWIW, I just installed the new patch and it is working OK. Your issues is likely related to the problem you describe in your other thread. A QCleanUI reinstall usually resolves the type of issue you describe.

Just found that out. Can't start quicken. Not sure whether I'll uniinstall / reinstall or restore from a backup

The problem that it has is very similar to the issues with Norton. If you turn "Controlled Folder Access" in windows security to off you may be able to get your Quicken 34.16 running properly. I did with some help from Support (Jessica)
