OSU settings instead of Update now

When I log into OSU, I click on Update Now but it brings up settings. It's been doing this for several months(I think) now. Any idea how to resolve this? I believe it started after I went into OSU settings for something, and now it will NOT update until it takes me to settings.

It is normal for One Step Update Settings to come up after selecting Update Now from the gear menu:

Note that if the Password Vault password hasn't been entered yet for this Quicken session the flow is a bit different.

    And then:

I'm not using the gear menu, I am clicking on OSU from the to-do list. This is a new issue, I've been using Quicken forever.

In the Settings screen, is there an item requiring action to be taken by you before OSU can proceed, e.g., a password that needs entering or a checkbox that is blank when it should have a checkmark?
Next time you get the Settings screen ...
Can you show us an image snapshot of the Settings screen?
Click Apply first, then click Update Now. That should get rid of Settings until you explicitly select it from the OSU vault password screen again.

No issues in settings. I am attaching a link to the video I just took.

I completely uninstalled Quicken and reinstalled it, and still have the same issue. Any other thoughts? I can't believe I am the only user to experience this issue...

    @Eric316,
No. I have an open case with support 8840673. They have no idea what's going on.

Are you running OSU more than once per "Quicken session", where "session" is the time between start and exit of Quicken, e.g.,
    • Start Quicken
    • Run OSU
    • Keep it running until later that day or next day
    • Run OSU again <--- this would be considered 2nd OSU per session
    • Exit Quicken
For me, a 2nd OSU (or more) in the same session always brings up the OSU Settings screen, and I've always considered that "normal processing".
    (I'm on Q R 35.31)

@UKR Thanks, that is such the "norm" for me that I didn't even think to ask to make sure this is for the first OSU of the session.

@UKR, I occasionally run a full OSU more than once during a Quicken session, but that is rare. I do however run updates on specific accounts on a regular basis, usually when they have an issue during OSU. The problem I am experiencing is when I first start Quicken and run OSU in the morning. I am also on Q R 35.31.

@Eric316, no, still have the same issue. No response from support. I'm just dealing with it. I guess it's not that big of an issue, just an inconvenience...

I have this same issue. Somehow Quicken Home and Business was reporting incorrect balance in my checking accounts after an OSU (this has happend several times after updates over the past year!) I removed the checking and savings account from OSU and reactivated them. Since I have done this, OSU now ALWAYS brings up the OSU settings screen when I do the FIRST (or second, or third...you get the idea) OSU from tools bar. All boxes are checked and there are no missing passwords, so I'm not sure why this started.

Having the exact same issue now for about two weeks.

Me too -I get the settings screen every time, and I have to select "all" every time (or check the accounts I want updated). Then I hit "apply", but the settings don't "stick" - I have to do it every time. So inconvenient!
