What was in the most recent update! It destroyed several accounts!

>:) The report about errors in updating doesn't go far enough. The new release wiped out all the data in at least 2 accounts (or hid the data from itself) and then started syncing to the cloud (which is not set up). It is backwards effective. It hides the data in earlier versions of the same accounts.

Did the account registers change to a "Dashboard"?
If so, you got hit with the bug that turns on simple investing mode in some accounts.
You can go into the Account Details (Select the gear icon) and select Complete - Positions and Transactions

  • Yes, the bug did change transaction tracking to simple. However, the update causes Portfolio and the Account Bar to report the balances of 3 of 5 NWML accounts as ZERO--no securities notwithstanding the display of transactions in the register.

I would restore from a backup; I suspect that when it changed over and updated it put in transactions that zeroed out your holdings or something like that.

  • No. I restored from backup and the same issues applied. I also opened a different file for a different accounting year. The updated Quicken changes each file as its opened to create the same errors.
