CIBC manual update

I updated two accounts from CIBC this morning. Result was that a lot of data lost from my file. In many items NA replaced the memo field and sometimes the payee field. I was able to restore from a backup file but a little nervous about updating.

Hello @paullantz,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about your issue, though I apologize that you are experiencing this.
To start with, I suggest that you please try validating the restored file before attempting to run a One Step Update. However, I do recommend that you first also save a backup file prior to performing these steps.
Validate:- File
- Validate and Repair File...
- Validate File
- Click OK
- Close the Data Log
- Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 5 secs)
- Reopen Quicken and try to run a One Step Update.
Let us know how it goes!-Quicken Anja

the backup file that I restored was fine, it was just the file in use when I did the update that was damaged. I don't use the one step update because of past problems. Repair log had a lot of entries "Quicken found an invalid transaction and removed it. "ACCT_1112e" 0/ 0/1900"0
