Difference Between Quicken 2013 Deluxe Versus Subscription.

I have been using Quicken Premiere and Deluxe since 2020. While I just renewed again I find it frustrating that for the subscription price. I should be working better with more banking support instead of less each year. I own software to convert pdf banking statements to import into various file types for accounting software so direct connect if not important to me at this time. If I was to start using Quicken 2013 instead. Will I be missing out on certain functionality with the newer subscription version.

Well, the first thing that you will encounter is that Quicken 2013 can't read your data file.  Only Quicken 2016 and above can read it.  You would either have to start over or try to convert by exporting/importing a QIF file.  Here is some information on that:

Also note that without an active subscription/support for online activities, the only format you can import in is QIF.

And to answer the last question, yes there is functionality differences, but in my opinion most of them are for the online services.

Thank You, I do realize that I will have start the data file from scratch again but preparing statements into QIF for import wont be an issue. I am willing to go this route and just run a patched version of Q 2013 if the budgeting, forecasting and debt reduction tools are the same the current subscription model.

If you revert to using Quicken 2013, you obviously miss out on about nine years of software updates.  If you're not using any of the newer features, you won't be missing them.  Note: The Quicken subscription Quicken files should be compatible back to Quicken 2016.  To revert back to earlier versions requires exporting and importing QIF files.  If you haven't already, you may want to review: http://www.quicknperlwiz.com/changetransfers.html
