Quicken closes after one-step update

Options
Whenever I do a one-step update, Quicken closes and I have to reopen it. This has been going on for a week or two

I have also been having this issue - for at least a month. It was fixed for a time after I deleted the Capital One account information, but now it is back. I've checked the Capital One account and the information is still deleted, so it can't be that. I've validated my file and so it's not that either. Today, I went to update a single account and Quicken closed after that update completed. Could someone please explain how to keep Quicken open once One Step Update completes.

Checked preferences - the box to keep Quicken open is checked. Also, now I'm back to having Quicken crash/close whenever I try to click on Help.

If you haven't done so already, please try the following actions:

    • Reboot Windows.
    • Validate and Supervalidate your Quicken data file.
    • If nothing helps, try to restore your Quicken data file from an Automatic or Manual backup taken just prior to the problems first occurring.

    Validate and Supervalidate instructions

First save a backup file prior to performing these steps

    Validate:

    1. File
    2. Validate and Repair File...
    3. Validate File
    4. Click OK
    5. Close the Data Log
    6. Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 30 secs)
    7. Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.

    Super Validate:

    1. File
    2. Hold CTRL + Shift and click Validate and Repair File...
    3. Supervalidate File
    4. Click OK
    5. Close the Data Log
    6. Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 30 secs)
    7. Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.
