ICICI bank account in Indian currency converted automatically to US$ after enabling online setup

I was tracking transactions in an account in ICICI bank that was setup with Indian currency for the last few years. Today I tried setting up this account for online services to download transactions and it worked but in the process the account got automatically converted to US$. How can I convert it back to INR?

The way to get the account back to INR is to restore from a data file from a back before you tried to setup the account for downloading transactions.  Based on some information in this thread EDIT, note this thread is for Mac, but most of what is said applies to Windows too:

It seems that one might be able to setup for downloading transaction only because Quicken can access the accounts through the US interfaces for that financial institution, and basically not know that it is a "foreign account".

But Quicken Windows US only supports downloading in USD, so there isn't anyway you can do what you want here.

@Chris_QPW Thanks! That is what it looked like but figured will check if anyone had any workaround.
@smayer97 Thanks! I saw the post prior to posting my question but had not read it in detail.

It looks like I don't have a simple solution right now.

I have this problem as well. either I can get account download (which will change currency) or keep currency and forgo download convenience. Quicken needs to recognize the global customers and fix this issue.

Quicken isn't a global product.  They only officially support US and Canada.
