How to stop transfers from being treated as Income & Expense
Email Unano
On the home screen/tab the income vs. expense graph shows transfers as expenses. How do I stop it from doing so? I have seen references to an "Advanced" tab but when you go to the gear in the top right of the graph and select "Customize this graph" the resulting pop up menu does not show an "Advanced" tab.

Hello
@Email Unano
,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about your issue, though I apologize that you are experiencing this.
May I ask; are you using "
Transfer:[*Account Name*]
" as the category for the transfer transactions your seeing as expenses on the home screen? Also, if you don't mind, could you please provide a screenshot of the issue you described above? If needed, please refer to this
Community FAQ
for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop a screenshot to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.
Please check back and let us know! Thank you.

Attached are a few screen shots. One shows the entry (Transfer out) that shows up as an expense. One screen shot shows the bar chart on the home page which shows a large expense bar on the right hand side where the previous transfer out shows as an expense. The bar chart screen shot also shows the gear box in the upper right. When I click on the gear and try to customize the chart the last screen shot shows the options that I get which does not include the ability to go to an "advanced" tab and select to not include transfers as expenses.

I'm interested in this topic as well. Has the question ever been answered?

Hello
@debmwb39
,
Thank you for taking the time to visit the Community, however, since this is an older post that was originally created back in August of 2021, it is less likely to receive an answer now.
I would suggest creating a
new post
for better visibility and to potentially receive responses from other users who may
currently
be experiencing the same problem. Doing so will also assist us with better tracking ability in the event that this issue may result in an escalation being required.
Please be sure to include a description of the issue, any error messages as well as the version of Quicken you have currently running (Help > About Quicken). The more information you are able to provide will help the Community to better understand and assist.
Thank you!
