Backup file naming convention
Please consider modifying backup file naming to use a 24-hour time format with minutes and seconds. This would be more precise and allow the files to be sorted chronologically by name. For example, March 29, 2023 at 9:11:37 pm would follow the format of YY-MM-DD-HH-MM-SS and be represented as:
QuickenFileName-2023-03-29-21-11-37.QDF-backup
This format is simple/logical and has been widely used/accepted in the software development industry for decades.

I agree this would be an improvement, but note that the current unconventional naming convention also sorts also sorts properly, because AM sorts before PM when the AM or PM is before the 12 hour time.

Why not just sort your File Manger view by the Windows recorded "Date modified"?
Making any change to how Quicken works, regardless of how insignificant poses a chance of failure and a major screwup, do you want to chance it?
I agree, the 12 hour clock designations of 12 Noon being PM causes a screwball sort if the AM/PM is part of the naming convention, but only the backups made the hour after Noon & Midnight cause a bad sort using the file's name.
