Sometimes, I need to change the security in a number of transactions at the same time. There is a facility to edit multiple transactions by selecting the transactions and pressing command-e.

In the Edit transactions box, the security name entered for the selected transactions is shown under "Payee:". The new security name can be entered by typing something in the the "Payee:" box and auto-complete will suggest names one of which can be selected. The change should then be saved by clicking on "OK". But, it is not. Changing the security name can only be done by manually typing the new name in the "Security/Payee" box for each transaction individually. Even then, sometimes, the change is not saved e.g. if the insertion point is not moved to another field.

Can the edit transaction function be changed so that security name can be changed for multiple transactions in one go ?

    Anja, many thanks.

The "Edit transactions" function is very useful. It would help if it was easier to edit security name in multiple transactions.

    Cheers.
