I am having the same problem
1 -
I just did a ticket yesterday for the same exact issue. I asked the technician if they were seeing others with this problem, and she said no. She said to wait 24 hours and try again, but that didn't work. I'll give them a few more days, but obviously something is going on, and apparently they are not keeping track of similar calls. There is also a thread for April 2023 that had the same issue, but no resolution was mentioned. This is a major inconvenience to have to manually put in the data, which makes me wonder how they can justify a price increase without fixing the bugs.

I finally fixed mine. I was tired of waiting, so I just did an uninstall and reinstall and it worked! All of my data came back automatically, but just to be sure and not take any chances, do a backup and/or take the main file and copy it to another directory (desktop) and replace it if there are any issues. If there are not issues, it is safe to delete. I am now able to get downloaded transactions again. Hopefully this will not revert to the same problem again later. Good Luck.

I uninstalled and reinstalled, but to no affect.
It will not even let me link accounts now after I deauthorize them and try again.

May I asked what program that you used to uninstall it with? That may make a difference and the one that you used may have left some back in there. I forgot to mention that when I reinstalled, I went to the Quicken website (here) and got the latest version. I used IObit Uninstaller.

When someone says they uninstalled 99% of the time I think you can assume that they just used the standard Windows/Quicken uninstall.
To others in the thread. There used to be "clean uninstall" document that Quicken Inc has now removed that explained that a "CleanUI program" needed to be run to get a "complete uninstall" and remove the configuration/program directories manually.
What Quicken Inc did is incorporate teh "CleanUI program" (which removes certain Windows registry entries into the Quicken uninstall. And as such, they felt that they didn't need to document how to do a clean uninstall any more.
But here is the thing, from what I have seen it was almost never the "CleanUI program" that fixed the really tough glitches in the corrupted program files/configuration files. It was the removing of the program files and more importantly the corrupted configuration files, so that they had to be recreated. I have even had a time where an install failed and they did suggest this, but with no details on how to do it.
You want to do the uninstall and then make sure these folders are deleted before reinstalling.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Quicken
C:\ProgramData\Quicken
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Quicken
Some of these have hidden folders in them so make sure you are showing hidden folders in Windows File Explorer.
Once you reinstall, be sure to check all or your preferences, because some of them are stored in the configuration files that you are removing.

You said the last part very well. That was my entire point of asking what program was used, because it could make a difference. Some removal programs are much more aggressive than others and some even give you a choice on how aggressiven you want to be with the removal. I think mine was pretty aggressive and got those pesky files that a "normal" uninstall would have missed.
Having said that, I don't think it's fair to say that "99% of the time" ANYONE should assume ANYTHING when it comes to computers. I certainly did not use the windows/Quicken uninstall, and I suspect others may not either. That's why we have a help forum, so that we can get information and go from there with suggestions. Even if they used the windows/Quicken uninstall program, now they can try a different program or one to clean stray files left over.
So far, my Quicken is still working after the uninstall/reinstall. This is a much known issue than I thought but tech support told me that they have not heard of this before. Seems like Quicken should work more on hug fixes than raising prices. I've used Quicken since 1995, and it seems more buggy now than back in the day. It's still the best program out there though, for me.

It is best not to assume, and instead state what was used, for sure. And my percentage guess is probably high, but most people will not be using a different uninstaller, and anyone that isn't using the standard uninstaller should really state that from the get go. It will definitely make a difference in some cases.

The other day I had 3 different FIs fail to download with no error message. Deactivating & reactivating is a pain in the butt now that accounts have to be authorized. So I tried signing out and back in via Edit > Preferences > Quicken ID & Cloud Accounts. That worked for me. Give it a try.
