Quicken Mac only downloads selected transactions from Chase
We are having an ongoing problem for months now with Quicken Mac, where it will only selectively download transactions from Chase Bank credit cards.
Quicken Mac will download 95% of our transactions from Chase Bank credit cards, but it will never download CERTAIN TRANSACTIONS from Chase Bank credit cards.
We have identified that Quicken Mac is specifically ignoring CERTAIN MERCHANTS, and will never download any transactions from those particular merchants.
So it seems like Quicken Mac has a hidden setting somewhere to "never download transactions from this particular merchant", where it will specifically ignore certain merchants from Chase Bank credit card downloads.
Can somebody please tell us where this hidden setting is located, so we can disable this setting?
We always want Quicken Mac to ALWAYS download ALL TRANSACTIONS from Chase Bank. We never want Quicken Mac to be SKIPPING OVER transactions that are on the Chase Bank website.

Check again. I bet you will find that the transactions that are being ignored have the same amount as another transaction that has been downloaded before it.
This has been going on for everyone since about January and isn't limited to Chase, or even Quicken Mac. The problem has to be on either the Quicken server or the Intuit server.
Looking through the Alerts I only see them for Quicken Windows, but it is definitely affecting both. And so, I would say yes, they are working on it, but there is no telling when they will have it fixed.

You are 100% correct!
Every single time that this has happened to me, that transaction is the exact same amount — and the exact same merchant name — as another transaction that was previously downloaded.
For example, I see my chiropractor once per week for $50, so I manually enter weekly $50 transactions into Quicken. In the past, Quicken used to recognize each one of these weekly transactions, but not anymore. Quicken has refused to download any of my chiropractor's $50 transactions since at least January 2024, and possibly before then.

Yes, I can also confirm that Quicken skips over transactions that are for the same amount - not everytime, I haven't been able to pinpoint a consistent factor, other than it seems more likely to occur when the amounts/transactions are relatively close to each other in terms of date, and/or from the same vendor…as in, a week or two later, another transaction from the same vendor for the same amount WILL download. Just not same day or within a few days.

This sounds abit like a recent issue I had in Quicken Classic Deluxe and my TurboTax in February this year. I'm not a techie, just a user but have been using both softwares for years without any problems. First I had an issue in Quicken with my Wells Fargo VISA card data, certain charges by the same vendor were not showing up while others were so I called the bank and changed my connection to Wells Fargo Connect from Quicken Connect. The MIA transactions loaded with the WF Connect. Then when I was using TurboTax and uploaded my Merrill Lynch data it didn't load the data for one of my IRAs that had loaded in prior years. So both of these issues seem to relate to same vendor and/or same dollar amounts concept. Have you received any responses on this ?

I'm having the exact issue, now going on 3 months, approximately. 2 different "vendors" when the charged amount is an "Exact" amount of either $11.00 or $23.00 these transactions DO NOT download into Quicken from Chase Bank. I'm using Mac Version, but from what I've been able to find , that's not the issue as Windows is having similar problems. Funny when I have a different amount from these Vendors, the charge is Downloaded OK, say $11.01 or $23.05, those come through on the Download. I have been on with Tech Support now 3x's for a total of 6hrs and NOTHING seems to be getting fixed. It doesn't seem to be just an "even" amount from any Vendor, just the same 2 that I frequent, as I have other charges in an equal/even amount from OTHER Vendors that do download properly, it so far for me just seems to be these 2 particular Vendors.

I wonder if this issue has anything to do with us using Quicken Mobile to enter the transactions? My missing downloads have always been manually entered by me in Quicken Mobile, and then synchronized to Quicken Mac. I always enter these transactions a day or two BEFORE the transactions post to my account, so it should work just fine — but nope.

There are apparently multiple problems at work, not just one, so it's hard to say that the exact problem one person is having with missing transactions has the same cause as someone else. There definitely appear to be some problems with Quicken deciding two discrete transactions for the same amount are duplicates when they actually aren't. There are also some financial institution-specific issues going on. I'm not sure if Quicken Mobile has anything to do with the problems as well.

Very frustrated that this still has not been fixed after the recent update. This is a nightmare for public transit transactions. (FWIW I never use Quicken Mobile, only the desktop app.)

This kind of problem isn't going to be solved with an update to the Quicken program, it is on the server, that is why it is happening to both Quicken Windows and Quicken Mac. And we have zero insight into what changes they make on the servers.

Now going on 4 months of this NOT downloading 2 Transactions for @ different Vendors for the Exact amounts from Chase Bank! Quicken doesn't seem to be working on the problem, or doesn't care! We pay for a service but do not get the complete service. Quicken if you read these Posts, at least provide updates as what's going on! I've been on with Tech Support now 3 different times for a total of 6hrs, and NOTHING is being fix or accomplished. Very frustrating for this to be happening, from a company that has had a good reputation for many years in the past.
