How can I change the Financial Institution tied to an account?

I have trouble getting updates for my Sams Club Mastercard managed by Synchrony Credit Cards. The Financial Institution is shown as Synchrony Bank Credit Cards and I need to change that to Sams Club Mastercard Account.

In Account Details, deactivate the account from online services, then delete the FI name and account number. Use Tools>Add Account to select your desired FI and then LINK, (NOT Add) to your existing account.

If you get some duplicate transactions, use the register sort order option, Order Entered, to more easily delete the duplicates.

I have deactivated from online services. but the Financial Institution is not editable.

I will keep searching for how to do that.

    Thank you.

Do like @markus1957 stated, and use Tools → Add Account. Add Account ignores what the current financial institution is set to. As long as the account is actually deactivated for downloading, you should be able to link the online account to it when you get to that part of the procedure.

Great. I will give that a try. Should be detailed in the system notes.

    Thank you

It worked — but oddly I had to select Sams Club Discover Card. That should really be fixed within Quicken. Very confusing.

Q CAN'T fix it. It's a decision by Sam's Club as to what downloads from which FI name.
