Dividend reinvestment
My investment company only buys whole shares for Dividend Reinvestment.
that always leaves a remainder.
Is there a way to include the remainder as part of the Reinvestment window that automatically adds it to cash without doing a second entry for the remainder.

You will probably have to enter 2 transactions for it. Enter the whole Dividend to cash. Then enter the Buy new shares which will leave the remainder in cash.
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

If the OP does that, they lose being able to declare the purchase as a "reinvest", I don't know if that is important to them, but it could be a deal breaker.

Not sure what advantage there is to such a declaration. It's simply a div and a buy all rolled into one, which buys a new lot of the security.
The Div (for full amount) plus cash to buy whole shares (with cash left over) does the same thing.

A Reinvest is not a Div and a Buy. A Buy increases Amount Invested. A Reinvest does not.
Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, now using QWin Biz & Personal Subscription (US) on Win10 Pro.

what @Rocket J Squirrel stated is true, though I don’t place any value on the Amount Invested parameter. Others do.
The other question I have is whether the shareholder has direct immediate access to the remainder. Does the agency managing the reinvestment process hold on to the remainder to combine with a later dividend to get to a later full share reinvestment?
I suspect the best actions are cash dividend received followed by full share buy.

Which is an error on Q's part … since the Div received and subsequently invested (i.e., a Reinvestment) should be included.

It is not an error on their part, it is a decision. They chose to separately track Amount Invested and Amount Reinvested as distinct and different values with differing objectives. Not the choice I would have made, but I wasn’t asked.
