hidden FITID
Hi,
Is there a way to access hidden FITID?
Sometimes I'm unable to synchronise downloaded transactions and I have to edit the QFX file and change by hand the FITID and put a random number.

The setting as to whether FITID.TXT is viewable is a Windows, not a Q, setting.
OR, are you saying that the FITID value for a particular Financial Institution isn't included in the file? If this is the case, which FI?

In fact the data file who records FITID is hidden. I think they did it for security.
I'm sometime unable to register (most of the time) just one transaction I see in the OFX file (by editing it with text editor) among others transactions.
Changing th FITID of that transaction allow me to register it into Quicken. So I change by hand the FITID and put a N after original one, so 1382N.
Having the list of FITID in Quicken Database will help me to give a better number because a random number could have a conflict in the future.

UNTRUE! That a Windows setting that Q doesn't change.
Other than that, you didn't answer what I asked.

1- My windows setting is set to unhide all the files, and I don't see in Quicken directory a file named FITID…
2- I don't say that the FITID value for a particular Financial Institution isn't included in the file.
3- As shown above the FITID in the OFX downloaded file is shown (<FITID>1382) but it seems duplicated but not shown.
I have yo modify the file manually (FITID changed to 1382N) as shown above in order to have this transaction recorded as shown above.

Got fooled by the "hidden file" and @UKR 's response and gave the wrong information (correcting now that I have seen @mshiggins response. see my last comment).

I haven’t had much coffee yet this morning, but isn’t FITID the unique identifier for a downloaded transaction?
Quicken user since Q1999. Currently using QW2017.

Sorry people I was thinking about the FID. The talk of hidden files…
The FITID is already visible in the register. It is the Downloaded ID, but if the intent is to edit it, that isn't allowed.
But back to what @UKR asked, what is the actual problem with the QFX file?
Of course, only the financial institution can fix the contents of the QFX file, so if there is an actual problem with it, you will have to talk to them to fix it. And that includes reusing one used on another transaction.
If the idea is that maybe they have reused the FITID and now Quicken thinks that a new transaction is an older transaction and ignoring it. And you are trying to verify that, then you can look at the Downloaded IDs and what is in the QFX file.
