Manual backup reminders not working after today's update (R60.14)

    Sometimes the backup settings get changed when you update.

    If you go to Edit > Preferences > Backup, is the Manual backup reminder box checked and Remind me after running Quicken set to 1? If not, making those selections should get you a reminder every time you exit Quicken.

    Please let us know if those settings changed for you.

    The settings did not change, the manual back up reminder box is still checked and remind me after running Quicken is still set to 1… but when I close Quicken I do not get the reminder to back up as I always have in the past, it just closes.

    Just curious … which method do you use to close Quicken?

    • Click the (should be red) "X" in the upper right hand corner
    • Press Alt-FX (or click File / Exit)
    • Press Alt + the "F4" key
    • Other?

    AFAIK, some of these methods may bypass the Backup (and Sync to Q cloud) processes.

    The X in the upper right hand corner, same as I’ve always done the last 14 years

    Just updated to version R60.15 a few minutes ago and manual backup reminders are still not working… The settings did not change, the manual back up reminder box is still checked and remind me after running Quicken is still set to 1… but when I close Quicken I do not get the reminder to back up as I always have in the past, it just closes.

    No, I’m just pressing control B for now to manually back up, but hoping quick and we’ll get it back to work the way it used to

    It will probably help Quicken resolve this problem faster if you try the recommended fix and let us know if it works for you.
