Emailed Invoices - Editing the cover letter's message to the customer

The formatting of the text to the customer (as shown below) seems to insert lots of line returns on it's own which requires I edit this message text every time I create an invoice. Does anyone know if this is a file somewhere that can be edited or how I can suppress this behavior?

    Hello @mallengold,

I apologize for any inconvenience the issue you are experiencing may be causing.

To clarify— Are you trying to change the message so it defaults to a different/customized message created by yourself?

Check back and let us know!

Yes, I use a customized message but once I press the button to generate the email when the Email Preview appears the text in the message box has lots of line returns on it's own which requires I edit this message text every time I create an invoice. The more times you iterate pressing the Email button the more line returns are added.

The image you supplied shows a Template selection process at the top of the display.
Are you, after making changes to the text, saving the text to a cover letter template using a different file name?
And, for additional emails, are you selecting the customized template file name?

I'm not using emailed invoices myself, so this is like firing shots into the dark …
if the display panel offers the use of creating and saving customized templates, I would assume this process to work. Does it or not?

    Thanks for the information.
IMHO, that's something for the programmers to look into.

@Quicken Anja , would you please pass word to the programmers? Or tell us who needs to do what … Thank you.

@UKR Yes, I can do that.

@mallengold I attempted to replicate this issue but wasn't able to do so the first time when saving a new template. However, after going back to the saved template I created I believe I am now seeing the issue you described with additional line breaks being added (see screenshots below).

I do see that you are also still running version R60.15. Can you please update to the latest version R60.20 and just confirm that you are still seeing the same issue in the latest release? To update, please navigate to Help > Check for Updates.

That said, I will go ahead and forward this issue to the proper channels to have this further investigated. However, we request that you please navigate to Help > Report a problem within your Quicken program and submit a problem report with log files and screenshots attached in order to contribute to the investigation.

It would also aid the investigation to include a sanitized file when submitting the problem report. A sanitized file is a data file that removes personally identifiable information so you can comfortably share this file with the Quicken team.

While you will not receive a response through this submission, these reports will help our teams in further investigating the issue.

We apologize for any inconvenience in the meantime! Thank you.

Upgrade to R60.20 did not help, completed problem report with a sanitized data file.
