Please add Canadian features to Mac version as well.

  • Ability to change the quarterly tax payment dates
  • Business mileage tracking to CDN $
  • Invoicing in CDN $
  • Ability to add bills to track tax for ITC.

While considering the idea of enabling Canadian features to this version of "Quicken Classic - Business & Personal (Canada)", I would ask to simply have the "US" characters removed from the subtotal, and/or, total lines of the invoice. Second to this, I would ask to simply have a list of currencies for payment added to the total line, for the preference of the user.

for me its seems a little odd that we (as CDN buyers) would even need to request some of these minor requests since we are paying for the same version as our US counterparts.

@JamesX714, agreed. Either removing "US" from the "Total" line, or adding all currecnies to invoice capbilities should neither have to be expected as a "product idea" on a Canadian-curtailed software, nor actioned based on a tally of votes on a "product ideas" page.

Surely many can't wait around for Rocket Mortgage LLC's R&D to come out with the next release to say "Look what we did", when current invoices can't be sent to clients.

I completely agree. Especially since the general Quicken settings has the options to let us set Home currency to Canadian Dollar and Show features for Canada. The fact this setting exists should be enough to globally include the invoicing setting to CAD.

Totally agree with the comments; without the option of removing the "US$" in the invoicing, it really hinders us in using this software for invoicing or even recording revenues. I noticed that if an invoice is issued, it then records this revenue in US$ - which then offers another level of complexity when combining it with CND$ accounts.

If this an issue here, it must be an issue anywhere outside the US. Need to get this change in short order.

"If this an issue here, it must be an issue anywhere outside the US."

Q is only licensed for sale in the US and Canada … so, actually, it IS only an issue in Canada. Anyone using it outside of those 2 countries is "at their own risk".

@notACPQ - as a Canadian user, I look forward to the update in the next release

Hello. A day short of three weeks has passed since the initial request for this issue was submitted. Can you please provide status on the fix, so that I may further determine either to continue using Quicken, or; abandon Quicken altogether and utilize a competitor to Quicken and Rocket Mortgage LLC. Thank you.

Quicken Inc doesn't give estimates as to when a feature will be implemented.

I would absolutely love this. Just the ability to send and track invoices in CDN would change so much in how I invoice and track invoices right now.

    Hello, Quicken.

This request should not be an idea- this is clearly an oversight. Quicken Classic Mac - Business & Personal (Canada) clearly caters to the Canadian market and thus is expected to have this functionality. USD currency is errant. Please, without fail, have this rectified.

    Thank you.

Hello, following up on this post. Please advise. Thanks.

It’s ridiculous that Quicken Canada would introduce invoicing with US currency only and even worse that James here has been asking about this for WEEKS with no reply. I’ve been waiting for invoicing capacity like I’ve used with Wave and looks like I’ll continue waiting. Not impressed.

Hello, can you please update on status. Thanks.

@scottdagostino I'm disappointed, greatly, within the lack of insight into this "idea", or really, concern or issue. The issues that were named regarding the invoicing function are just those- "issues", and are not non-issues, nor are they ideas for the developers to consider. These were promised functionalities that simply don't work, as R&D have failed due diligence on what was once a great product. It's reputation is waning, as many others are out there.

Any development of this feature for Canadian users - just noticed an email newsletter today promoting "Upgrade to getting paid faster - Getting paid is a beautiful thing. Get Quicken’s new invoice tool and let’s make it happen." Would be great if it actually worked - it's still not functional for Canadian users - look forward to an update.

This is ridiculous. I have been waiting for a Canadian Mac version of Home & Business for a full 20 years. I have been angrily making due with Windows, necessitating a second laptop OR Bootcamp OR Parallels. I am about to buy a new MacBook and will now FINALLY transition to non-Intuit financial software. TWENTY YEARS. please offer an explanation for the awful service.

Well I'll be damned. I've been using Quicken in/on various op systems since 1991. Having established a small sole proprietorship a few weeks ago, I decided to add the "Business" module to my Quicken Classic Personal for Mac (Canadian user). Easily enough, I generated my first invoice within minutes of installing the update but then - POOF! - no ability to default the business account to CA$!!

Hopefully someone is at the wheel of this Forum to advise if/when this travesty of a bug will be rectified!

Hello. It has been well past 2 months since this issue has been raised. I have been recently charged the subscription fee for this year. Can someone representing Intuit please, without fail, provide an in-depth update on the restoration of the invoicing functionality.

    Thank you.
