Netxinvestor - Cannot Establish Automatic Download for lincoln.netxinvestor.com

Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭

I have investment accounts with Lincoln Investment Planning LLC. I access these accounts through Pershing LLC at the https://lincoln.netxinvestor.com/ website (https://lincoln.netxinvestor.com/).

Quicken will not establish an automatic download with the netxinvestor website. I have tried repeatedly for weeks, but I receive the same error message, shown in the attached screenshot.

Please advise how to establish automatic downloads for lincoln.netxinvestor.com.

My financial guy has worked with Pershing folks to find a solution and it works for me. When adding account to Quicken, choose financial instituation as NetXvestor, instead of Lincoln. When putting in login. put your Financial Organization Number (which is the 3 letters at beginning of account number followed by user name with no space between them. The enter password and connect and you should see your account. Hope this works for you!

    Hello @Imperial1971,

This error is usually caused on the bank’s end and means that the Quicken server is being blocked from connecting to the account. Typically these errors self-resolve within 24 hours. If you haven't already, we recommend reviewing this support article for more information.

As stated in the article, if the error persists for more than 24 hours, then you will need to contact Quicken Support directly for further assistance. Our support agents will need to collect and review your log files, and will likely need to file an escalation if they see fit.

Customer Support Team phone hours of operation are 5 am - 5 pm PDT Monday-Friday.
Chat Support is available  7 days a week from 5 am to 5 pm PDT.

I am having the same issue. I have talked to Quicken and they are supposed to be working on it. I saw your post and thought I'd see if you found a solution.

Hi @cstuckey - thanks for your post! I talked to Quicken Support, but after a long and somewhat confusing chat session, the agent told me that Quicken did not have a solution for the problem. This is a really frustrating problem! There are plenty of things that I like about Quicken, but when I run into problems like this one, combined with a seemingly low level of concern from Quicken Support, I really question the value of the subscription.

    Hello Quicken Jasmine,

Yes, I am having this problem with NetXinvestor. Recently Lincoln Investment moved their accounts to NetXinvestor. I am able to sign into the Lincoln NetXinvestor account directly but can't complete the login when I try to add an account through my Quicken Premier. It accepts my email and password and then asks me to choose method of contact (email or text). It sends me the OTP and when I enter I get error code CC-501. I contacted Quicken on Monday and they are supposed to be working on it. I was told to wait a week and call if I have not heard anything. They did send me an email on Tuesday saying it should be working and wanted me to try and let them know if it worked. It did not work and I sent email back but haven't heard anything back. It's so frustrating!

    Hi @Quicken Jasmine,

I continue to have exactly the same problem with the NetXinvestor accounts that @cstuckey describes here. I just now (1/10/2025 at 10:30 a.m. Eastern) tried again to add the accounts through Quicken Premier, and I again received the same error code CC-501. I appreciate Quicken's willingness to solve this problem!!!

    Hi @Imperial1971,

It does seem that our problems are exactly the same. I might go ahead and call Quicken today with my case number and see what they tell me. If I do find a solution, I will post here and I would appreciate if you would do the same.

    Hello @Imperial1971 & @cstuckey,

We will be forwarding this issue to the proper channels to have this further investigated. However, we request that you please navigate to Help > Report a problem within your Quicken program and submit a problem report with log files and screenshots attached in order to contribute to the investigation.

It would also aid the investigation to include a sanitized file when submitting the problem report. A sanitized file is a data file that removes personally identifiable information so you can comfortably share this file with the Quicken team.

While you will not receive a response through this submission, these reports will help our teams in further investigating the issue. The more problem reports we receive, the better.

We apologize for any inconvenience in the meantime! Thank you.

@Quicken Anja @cstuckey — Is there an update on this issue? As of today, 1/21/25, the problem persists. I have submitted multiple problem reports through quicken as per the instructions above.

    @Imperial1971 @Quicken Anja

I talked with Quicken support for about 2 hours today and we did a screen share and I sent them log files. They were unable to find a solution and told me at the end that I needed to contact Lincoln and tell them that Lincoln doesn't support investment accounts. I asked if he meant NetXinvestor and he said no, Lincoln. He said they need to find a way to connect to the investment accounts. I sent this info to my financial guy and he sent it to a couple of people at Lincoln. Lincoln has been saying all along it wasn't them so we'll see what happens.

  • Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭

@cstuckey Thanks for the update! Fingers crossed! If you hear something back from Lincoln, would you mind posting it here? I'll also ask my financial person of they can say something to Lincoln.

    Hello again,

Thank you for the update. I’ve checked on the ticket on our end, and it is still open and being actively worked on. Unfortunately, we do not have an ETA for resolution at this moment.

Once I receive notice that the issue has been resolved, I will post an update. In the meantime, please feel free to check in with me anytime.

    Thank you!

@cstuckey — THANK YOU!!! This worked! This is awesome and will save me SO much time. Wow. I really appreciate this!

I'll note that I had to go back to an email from Netxinvestor from when they originally set up the account to find the Financial Organization Number. I also had to refer back to that email to find the correct User ID. When I tried to use the email address that I use as the User ID to log on to their website, it wouldn't work. But once I located the User ID that Netxinvestor had assigned when the created the account, that ID in combination with the Financial Organization Number worked perfectly.

I'm so relieved to finally have this working!

I hope that Quicken will add this information to their user documentation. I think it would be really helpful to other Quicken users.
