Also experiencing this issue. Last budget reports ran 2/5/2025 were fine .. as of 3/4/2025 now seeing the Everything Else category randomly included with what appear to be subtotals of some lines above. Bookmarked Community ticket # below to follow for resolution.

Just to add to the list…..I am having the same problem. It seems to have just appeared with the latest update.

I have the same issue. The issue is this new category "Everything else" shows up in the reports with some "random" value for budget and in my case I do get some "actuals" as well. I cannot click on it to see what records its pulling from. This started in Feb. Please fix the issue.

This problem with the Everything Else budget category is still driving me nuts. Is there any fix? Has anyone been able to speak to

    anyone at Quicken?

I have this same issue and have found a temporary fix to remove it. I noticed that "Everything Else" is appearing in categories where I have some but not all categories selected for budgeting under the Planning tab. To apply a temporary fix:

1)In the Planning tab, there is an option to "Select Categories to Budget". Select that option.

    2) If on the Actual vs Budget report "Everything Else" is a sub-category of a higher level category, make sure all sub-categories including "Other" are checked for budgeting (even if you don't plan on entering any amount).

    3) If "Everything Else" on the Actual vs Budget report is its own category and not a sub-category, select the category immediately preceding "Everything Else" and make sure all sub-categories are checked for budgeting for that category.

This has worked for me in all cases. It's only downside is that when creating / updating a budget there are categories displayed that you may not use. A nuisance to scroll through but the fix seems to work for me.

Bill West - yes, that is basically how it is designed, but the everything else people are complaining about is NOT that scenario, it is where it randomly/phantomlike appears on the budget report unrelated to the designed use of everything else as you described.

Quicken - last official update is March 13th, any newer updates? this has been going on since at least late jan/early feb. It really is a big deal for us that rely on quicken for our budgets and seems to have been introduced via an update.
