Very long time Quicken user but first time I've felt compelled to seek help in this useful forum.
I started with Quicken 99 and then migrated my Q99 files to Q2010, currently on Windows 10. I only use Quicken to track investment transactions and pricing. Everything is done manually and I do not connect to Quicken servers or brokerage firms for any Quicken reason.
My current investment accounts all transferred directly over from Q99 with no issues. From the Q2010 Portfolio screen, when I hover over an old account name and select Edit, I go directly to that account's investment register.
However, I recently had the need to create a new investment account. I went through the Q2010 steps and despite several tries I cannot seem to get to an investment register for this new account. When I hover over the new account on the Portfolio screen and select Edit, I always go to a different screen with five smaller "boxes" (Holdings, Account Attributes, Account Status, Investing Activity, and Account Attachments). For the life of me I can't find a way to get to the new account investment register.
Any ideas?
I can get around this problem by putting the new mutual funds into one of the existing accounts, but that really isn't the way I'd like to account for things.
Thanks!
