Quicken hung “Connecting/Quicken Update Status” after OSU
Windows 11 Quicken 27.1.63.21
I ran my normal OSU today. The summary report says all my financial institutions were connected and transactions downloaded. When I Click on my Fidelity account I get a popup that says
“Quicken Update Status”
(spinning blue circle)
“Connecting”
Clicking the Stop Update button does nothing. I finally had to open Task Manager and kill Quicken
I ran the OSU again – same problem
I rebooted Windows then ran OSU again. Same problem
I restored my Quicken file from a known good backup, ran OSU. Same problem.
I found a post about this same problem from June 2023 but there was no resolution
Any idea how to get out of this?

This is worse than I thought. Even if I don't run an OSU, when I try to open a Fidelity account that didn't have any updates I get the spinning blue circle.
I created a new test Quicken file and added the Fidelity accounts. They all added, but when I try to open one, I get the spinning blue circle,
I can understand why Q might have a problem connecting to Fidelity, but shouldn't it just give up after a while and say so?
I'm wondering if this is related to the change where the institution name is now zzz-Fidelity - DC?

Hi @Marvin Gardens,
Try turning off your computer, then turn off your Router and Modem, then turn back on everything and see what happens?
thecreator-bTesting Quicken Subscription Beta B63.19 (Nov. 2023) Installed 24/7.

the-creator-b - I have reset all my hardware. The problem persists
Qucken Anja - I cannot disable online services as there are there are downloaded transactions ready to be cleared, And I can't clear them because as soon as I click on the account I get the spinning blue circle.
And today on my TEST file, OSU never completes. It just gets hung in the spinning blue circle

I think I fixed this
I installed Quicken on another PC and opened a good backup of my Quicken File. When I opened one my Fidelity accounts I got a popup telling me that Fidelity was changing the way it talks to Quicken and I would have to reauthorize. I did that and the OSU completed. And now things look OK.
