One Step Update -OL297-A, CC-501, and "Quicken cannot connect to the internet"

For the past week, and selectively before,One step update is not working: CC-501- Capital One. OL297-A - PNC Bank quicken cannot connect to the Internet, and Citi Cards-quicken cannot connect, we are investigating the issue. Quicken Premium all patches, Windows 24H2 all patches, one database, not restored. All reported correctly through interface. Quicken needs to fix all these connection issues. In the past year, there has not been 7 consecutive days that all accounts have updated correctly. This record is abysmal, especially considering what we pay and the size of the company!

    Hello @Rick8,

Thanks for your post, and I’m sorry to hear you’ve been experiencing ongoing trouble with One Step Update. I know how frustrating it can be when multiple accounts fail to update consistently.

I checked your account internally and did not see any internal errors specifically associated with your connections. That said, since you're still receiving errors on your end, here are some steps and updates that may help:

    • For the OL-297-A error with PNC, this is a known issue that has been escalated internally, though we do not have an ETA on resolution at this time. While the investigation remains ongoing, please refer to this Community Alert for any and all available updates and information.
    • For the CC-501 error with Capital One, please see this support article.
      • As noted in the article, if the error persists for more than 24 hours, we recommend reaching out to Quicken Support directly for further assistance and possible escalation.
    • Regarding Citi Cards, could you please provide a screenshot of the exact error message you’re seeing? That will help us better understand what’s happening and advise on next steps.
      • If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.

    Thank you!

    -Quicken Anja,

Screenshot and all info submitted through quicken as you always suggest. Citi Cards has no error code, only "quicken cannot connect, we are investigating the issue". Why can't these downloads just work. It is now almost everyday one, many, or all do not. It is time for Q to finally fix this.

Thanks for following up—and I completely understand your frustration.

It looks like the screenshot that was submitted was cut off, as it only shows the top-left corner of the Quicken window and not the full error message.

When you have a moment, could you please resubmit the full screenshot, post it here in the thread, or—if you’d prefer—I’d be happy to send you a DM so you can share it with me privately.

Let me know what works best for you!
