Problems converting investment accounts from Windows to MAC

My investment accounts came over as Property & Debt. I am unable to edit and move them to an account group under investing. I seem to be unable to add account groups nor edit accounts for simple view. Ideas?

In Quicken Mac, you cannot change the basic account groups in the left sidebar. The developers have indicated that they plan to enable some customization of the sidebar, but we don't yet know exactly how flexible that will be when it is released.

The conversion from Windows to Mac doesn't typically result in changed account types; many thousands of users have successfully implemented such a conversion. I'm curious about what actually came over in your conversion, since investment transactions have securities, share amounts, and actions — none of which exist in asset or liability account transactions. So even if you could edit the account type, the correct data wouldn't be there. I would suggest going back to Quicken Windows and double-checking what account types your investment accounts are set to. Does Quicken Windows allow you to change the account type?
