Are you able to run both programs on the same computer? Thinking about using both, and changing one of my accounts over to Quickbooks (on line) from Quicken classic.

But, I need to know if Quickbooks (on line) has an address book where all my information (from Quicken Classic) will transfer over.

A bit nervous about making the switch if some of the things I use a lot won't transfer over. I don't want to have reenter a lot of things.

Thanks for your support.

    Hello @Debbie P,

Thank you for reaching out with these questions. As long your computer meets the system requirements, you should be able to run both Quicken Classic and Quickbooks.

Since Quicken and Quickbooks are owned by different companies, I don't have much information on what will and will not carry over to Quickbooks from Quicken. It is possible to convert a Quicken for Windows file to Quickbooks, but it's a complex process, and it is strongly recommended that you backup your Quicken file and contact Quickbooks Support before proceeding. Please read the article linked below to see what information we have on converting Quicken files to Quickbooks, and for the link to Quickbooks' Support site: https://www.quicken.com/support/convert-quicken-windows-data-quickbooks-data/#section-windows-0

    I hope this helps!

Since Q would be on your desktop, and QB run thru a browser, I can't envision what there would be an problem with running both.

And, QB can import your Q data file, so that shouldn't be an issue. NOTE, however, if you ever decide to switch AND, are you aware of the price difference between the 2 products. QB is around $40/month while Q Deluxe is $72/year.

And, QB doesn't support investing accounts.
