Bug: Transaction From Paste Buffer Appears After Saving A Downloaded Transaction

I sometimes see a bug when accepting downloaded transactions into a register. It occurs only when there is a transaction copied into the paste buffer (clipboard).

I have a video showing the bug, but I cannot upload it because it's not in an acceptable format. I am happy to send it upon request.

I am running Quicken Business & Personal v R63.21, Build 27.1.63.21 on a Windows 10 machine.

Here is how I see it:

  1. Copy a transaction from the register by right-clicking on a transaction and selecting Copy Transaction.
  2. Accept a downloaded transaction into the register.
  3. After the transaction saves, I see the copied transaction pasted into the next transaction at the bottom of the register. Normally, I would see the next downloaded transaction or an empty transaction if there are no more transactions to accept.

    Hello @JackInBrooklyn,

Thank you for sharing the details about this behavior. I tested the steps you described but wasn’t able to replicate the issue on my end. Since the video format isn’t supported here, could you provide screenshots showing the issue instead?

If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.

Additionally, could you please clarify the following:

    • Where is your Quicken data file stored? Is it on your local hard drive (C: Drive) or a cloud-based/external drive (e.g., OneDrive, DropBox, USB, etc.)?
    • Have you attempted any troubleshooting steps so far? If so, what were they?
    • When did this issue first start occurring?
    • Were there any significant changes to your system or software before the issue began (updates, new installations, etc.)?

This information will help us narrow down the cause and determine next steps.

    Thank you!
