Converting a FID MM account to cash for tracking

I have a Fidelity brokerage account and the cash within the account is tracked under FDRXX. Right now, my cash balance in that brokerage account shows $0 because the cash is in FDRXX. I'd instead like to see the cash balance accurately reflected as cash instead of "hidden" away inside of that fund. Is there any way to convert it so it does that?

    Hello @John J,

Thank you for reaching out! According to our Community Alert about this issue, following these instructions should correct the issue:

    • Quicken Windows users may need to change the Money Market representation if they are not prompted. You can do this by clicking the Cash link in the account or in the Account Details>Online Services Tab, the “Reset Money market securities/cash" options to trigger the choice of cash or security again. The cash balance will still be the same that Fidelity reported for the one or more money market securities they have.

If the issue persists, or you do not see the option to "Reset money market securities/cash", please let me know!

Also note that if this is a Taxable brokerage account, in Q, you can choose the "Show Cash in a Checking account" option, which is what I use since my Fidelity MMF is my primary checking account … and doing such gives me a MUCH greater range of options for my cash income & expenses, the same as if it were a real checking account.

TOOLS, Account List, check EDIT adjacent to the account name and the "Show cash …" option.
