    I thought I set up an account for a new CD with my online bank but it does not show up in the Accounts List. HELP!

    • When you say you thought you had set up a new account, were these the steps you took to add it to Quicken?
    • Which financial institution is this account held with?
    • Did you see any error message when adding this account?

    Also, for a CD, which would have VERY few transactions (1 a month at likely most), why are you setting it up as a separate account rather than as an investment in a brokerage type account?

    Setting up a CD as an account could lead to MANY, MANY accounts, most of which would be closed … instead of using an investment which would use 1 account with multiple investments … and be much easier to manage.
