Fidelity balance update
Since Fidelity-Quicken transactions are not working or reliable, is there any way to connect that will allow market balance updates without downloading transactions? I can manually enter my few transactions but would like to see a current market balance for each item.

My downloads from Fidelity are very reliable, so what specific problems are you having?
Are you getting any error codes or messages? And, when you do TOOLS, Account List, what shows in the Transaction Download, Last Download and Financial Institution columns across from your Fidelity account(s)?
Also, which Q product are you running, what RELEASE of that product and what's your "Subscription Valid thru" date? This info is at HELP, About Quicken.
