download my bank files manually. Quicken has not been able to process the QFX file
I use a manual download of the QFX files from the bank, "download' button from bank. Typically Quicken will recognize the file and process it properly. One month or so ago, it stopped recognizing - going through a process of trying to find files and process. I now use FILE Import method which works, but this isn't sustainable -
Any recommendations - ie reload quicken etc would be appreciated.

what's the name of your bank, as it's known to Q?
Can you download from other FIs, say credit cards or investments?
What Q product are you running, and what BUILD of that product? This info is at HELP, About Quicken.

In your browser or in Windows Control Panel settings itself, what is the file type association with QFX files?
Opening your downloads folder with Windows File Explorer, locate one of the QFX files.
Right-click the file name, select "Open with" and look for "Choose default program". Select Quicken from the list and also select "Use this app for all QFX files"
Once set properly, Quicken should be invoked (and started, if it's not running already) to process the QFX file.0
