New IRA Why Does it Show Massive Increase??
Quicken 2013. I just created a new IRA account using my old 2018 statements. I deposited from checking $5500. I invested $5500
substracting fees. And the amount is $7995?? I have spent HOURS trying to figure this out!

The market value is the number of shares x the current price per share.
In 2018 you bought 122.549 shares of AIVSX at 44.88 per share. The current price is $64.16 so your investment is worth about $7863.

If you click on the Holdings button you will see what the market price is, the extended market value and the costs basis value. This should confirm what @Jim_Harman stated. Have you been entering pricing for this security?
But I'm curious. You stated that you are using Quicken 2013 which is a manual use only product now. But at the bottom of the picture you attached it shows "Download Transactions" which I thought does not show up in non-Subscription products and unless one has the account set up for downloading. Please confirm with Quicken product you are using.

@Boatnmaniac I use Quicken 2013 and it still shows Download Transactions at the bottom. Just because they turned off online services they didn't go in and change the existing program for all the icons and places.
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.
