Deleting old transactions.

I am running Quicken Deluxe on Windows 11 Home. Today I had a problem with my Quicken file, and I called the support number, and learned that my Quicken data file had been corrupted. That call got me straightened out with a copy of the corrupted file, basically cleaning out the corruption. However, I am left with a data file that contains transactions going back to 2009. I would like to delete the older ones. Leaving me with a file that only contains transactions from the last five years. Nothing I have tried so far gets rid of these older transactions. Can anyone suggest a method that might work? Doing a year-end archive. Trying to select certain transactions or a range of transactions does not work. It doesn't seem to delete a single transaction.

Take a look, in Q Help at "Year-End Copy" for non-investment accounts and "Archiving Old Transactions" for investment accounts.

BUT, as always, take a backup before you perform any such actions.
