Estimated Income on Portfolio screen from Investing tab

I customized the Portfolio screen on the Investing tab of the latest version of Quicken Premier (R33.24) and added the Estimated Income column. According to the description, it is supposed to show "Estimated annual income from interest, dividends, and distributions". In my case, it is showing zero.

Anyone else using this column and is it working?

I contacted Quicken Support and the first words out of the tech's mouth were, how old is your data? It seems that the few times I call and ask for assistance, this comes up on virtually every call. I never completed my call since the 2 times I called them, I was disconnected.

This is a calculated number.  The calculation is # of shares x annual dividend dollars per share.
You enter this latter number yourself.  Edit the security, click on "Other info" and then enter your estimate of the year's total dividends per share.

This should be done automatically, IMO. They have all the information to do this for us, not to mention, we pay an annual fee. That being said, thank you.

It only has 10 upvotes, including mine. Probably not ever gonna happen. At least I was told how to enter it myself. Obviously, I will have to keep an eye on any changes in the dividend.

Because I wasted a bunch of time yesterday: Quicken can calculate this for you, as of the January 2024 release.

To turn it on: On Investing > Portfolio go to the gear icon "options" and select "Portfolio Preferences…". At the bottom of the small window that pops up is a checkbox: "Use Annual Dividend from quote feed for estimated income".

You can also override any "Est. Income" you may have added in Securities' "Other Info" fields.
