Downloading Sell transaction

every time a Sell transaction is downloaded, Quicken asks to specify which shares to sell. Is there a way to specify just once (set up as global feature) like last shares first, min cap gains, etc.?

Yes, you can do this. Go to Edit > Preferences > Downloaded Transactions where you can select the option you want.:

I set up all of my investment accounts this way and it works really well. Except for people who want to actively manage their investments down to the lot level for tax reasons. The default for most brokerages is to use the FIFO basis unless the customer (investor) opts for something different. What I posted here mimics that default process.

    Does this answer your question?
