Quicken Deluxe 21.45% Price Increase! Options for retaining my data?
Just got notification that my annual subscription is increasing to $101.88 and this is a huge increase percentage wise - 21.45%. While I understand and expect price increases, this seems excessive. I am retired now and watching all my pennies!
I have been a Quicken user since 1993 but I am questioning if I am getting enough value from it to continue. I feel there have been no real meaningful improvements or innovations in the Canadian product for quite some time. It doesn't work with my Bank, my Brokerage, the investment section doesn't work with Crypto, the NEO exchange, and doesn't provide any meaningful charting or reports.
I already use a different product for my investments, so Quicken has really just become a expense tracking tool for me, albeit all manual. And I also do not use the Mobile version of Quicken as I find it does not offer much functionality.
I still have my Quicken 2007 CD, is there anyway to migrate my historical data back into Quicken 2007? Would I need to go back to the 2007 version or are there newer non subscription versions that would allow me to view my data? I don't care about entering new data if I choose to stop subscribing to Quicken.

Hello @D Morley,
Thank you for reaching out! To answer your question, there are no official tools that would be able to convert a current file to an older, pre-subscription, version of Quicken.
That said, if the benefits of the subscription are no longer worth the cost, the Data Access Guarantee does ensure that you will still be able to access and manually update your file after the subscription expires. For more information on the Data Access Guarantee, please review this article:
Since you already do everything manually, the most likely downside to letting the subscription expire would be the in product reminders to resubscribe (see the sample image below):
Since the pre-subscription versions of Quicken are no longer supported, I'm not able to give advice about which, if any, would meet your needs. Hopefully others on the Community will be able to provide that information!
I hope this helps!

Thank you Kristina for your reply.
I was able to obtain a discount for my up coming renewal so I have decided to continue with my Quicken subscription for at least one more year.
It sure would be nice to have some new functionality added to the Canadian product to keep it on par with the US offering. Is there a product road map for Canada? If so, is there anything you can share with us?
I have posted my requests in "Product Ideas" and I think they all have been echoed by others.
Dan
