Tax Planner Defaulting to Estimate or No Projected Amount

Whenever I use tax planner, the amounts are defaulting to either Estimate Based on YTD Daily Average or No Projected Amount. I have to change these settings every time I use the this function. I originally thought it was due to the start of the year, but it hasn't changed. It does not save even when the file is backed up. Also, my scheduled income transactions are still defaulting to $0.00 until I access them, and then after the transaction is opened, I just hit enter, and it corrects itself for that session only.

Fidelity 401(k) prices are still not updating, and I have to update them manually.

I have installed the patch, validated and super validated, submitted problem reports, and nothing seems to fix these issues.

What is going on, and when is all of this going to get corrected?

    Hello @Tammy Van Buren,

Thank you for sharing your experience. To clarify, are you wanting the Tax Planner to be based on Scheduled Bills and Deposits, but it keeps changing to one of the other two options? If that is what is happening, is there anything that seems to trigger this behavior, such as running One Step Update, syncing with the cloud, and/or closing and reopening Quicken?

The income reminders changing to 0.00 until you access them might be a known issue (CTP-15510). Does this happen after you run One Step Update?

I look forward to your response!

@Tammy Van Buren I have observed that if the Tax Planner settings are not sticky, doing a File > Validate and repair file with the Validate option selected will report that it corrected a scheduled transaction.

After that, hopefully the Tax Planner settings will be saved properly.

Always back up your data file before doing a Validate and Repair, just in case it makes things worse.

Please let us know if that fixes it for you.

I have validated and repaired this file weekly and nothing changes. I still have to go in and change the settings when I reopen the file

@Quicken Kristina, I change the settings to scheduled bills and deposits. The nest time I reopen the file, the settings did not save, and I have to correct them again. I am honestly very frustrated. I have been using Quicken for over 20 years and have never had so many issues. For the last 3-4 months I have had more issues than I have had in the entire time I have been using the program..

Validating, super validating, reinstalling the latest patch - none of it solves anything. I have submitted several problem reports. Nothing seems to be getting fixed.
